It is just too bad the only way to buy it today is by playing Russian Roulette on the App Store. I think it would add more zest to the game and give people a reason to play it again by offering 2 zany characters with different dialogues and abilities. I hope if there is another game from Hothead Games it will follow this game's depth and consider adding a female version of DeathSpank as a choice for the character. The Baconing is a game you will either love or hate it. The best way to describe The Baconing would be to stir into a pot the main character from the American Dad cartoon and mix in Machinarium and Diablo with a touch of WarCraft.

It all follows the same quirky style throughout the game. Some of the spoken and audio dialogue is funny.

He hasn't changed a bit which means, that you can once again set out for short adventure full of sarcasm, anti-clich jokes and slightly better than average gameplay. The quest line starts off singular and later becomes forked offering side challenges to help improve your character's abilities. The Baconing is yet another strange tale of anti-hero DeathSpank you know so well from first two games. The pace of the game is as quick as you want it to be during your explorations. It's a nicely laid out click adventure world. In many facets The Baconing reminded me of Machinarium. I was expecting a lot less for this game and was pleasantly surprised how rich the details and experience was. The App Store needs a serious overhaul and a rethink. I originally intended to buy the game for someone else but that wasn't possible due to Apple's crazy policies and strict control. Tasty bacon, thongs & a hero named DeathSpank await you. I took the chance and purchased this game. 97K views 11 years ago IGN gives its hands on video preview on the new hilarious game The Baconing.

I hope the authors of this game are listening and watching.

It would have offered a 60 minute trial and another avenue for sales without the scam store run by Apple. I can think of Game Tree Online and Mac Game Store that would have been a perfect fit and killed 2 birds with one stone. This game would have sold more copies had there been other ways to try it or purchase it. I must agree with Wolfeatsworld's comment.
